Principal ClickHouse Engineer
📍 Remote (NA / EU preferred) · Full-Time
ChistaDATA Inc. is seeking a visionary Principal ClickHouse Engineer to lead the evolution of high-performance analytics infrastructure for some of the world’s largest internet companies. In this role, you will be at the forefront of solving complex data challenges, architecting cutting-edge ClickHouse solutions, and driving technical innovation at web-scale.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect, implement, and maintain large-scale ClickHouse deployments for diverse enterprise use cases
- Develop and optimize complex ClickHouse schemas, queries, and performance tuning strategies
- Provide expert-level consultation on ClickHouse infrastructure design and best practices
- Lead technical discussions and provide mentorship to junior engineers on the team
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define analytics architecture strategies
- Develop deep expertise in ClickHouse internals, including MergeTree engine and distributed processing
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in database administration, with deep specialization in ClickHouse
- Expert-level knowledge of ClickHouse internals, MergeTree engine, and distributed processing
- Proven track record of designing and implementing petabyte-scale data analytics solutions
- Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with columnar database systems
- Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and containerization technologies
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to drive technical decisions
Senior ClickHouse Database Architect
📍 Remote (Global) · Full-Time
As a Senior ClickHouse Database Architect, you will design and deliver enterprise-grade database architectures that power the most demanding real-time analytics workloads. You will partner directly with CTOs and VP Engineering at our client organizations to define data strategy and execute at scale.
Required Qualifications
- 6+ years of experience with ClickHouse or similar columnar database systems (Redshift, BigQuery, Druid)
- Deep experience with data modeling for high-cardinality, high-throughput analytics workloads
- Strong understanding of distributed systems, replication, and sharding strategies
- Experience migrating workloads from RDBMS and other OLAP systems to ClickHouse
- Strong communication skills — ability to present architecture decisions to executive stakeholders
ClickHouse Site Reliability Engineer (Data SRE)
📍 Remote (Global) · Full-Time
Join our Data SRE team to own the reliability, availability, and performance of ClickHouse clusters running at petabyte scale. You will manage 24×7×365 on-call rotations, incident response, and continuous improvement of our customers’ production infrastructure.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of SRE or production DBA experience with distributed database systems
- Hands-on experience with ClickHouse monitoring, alerting, and performance observability
- Strong Linux systems administration skills and experience with Kubernetes/Docker
- Experience with error budgets, SLOs, and blameless postmortem culture
- Ability to participate in on-call rotations and respond to Severity 1 incidents within 15 minutes
